De vil finne alle slags m\u00e5ter inn i kroppene v\u00e5re, enten det er gjennom mat, luft eller til og med hud. En nylig studie beregnet at folk inntar omtrent fem gram plast hver uke - omtrent tilsvarende et kredittkort. Grunnen til at kroppene v\u00e5re ikke har blitt en levende Legobutikk p\u00e5 dette punktet, er det menneskelige utskillelsessystemet. Eksperter sier at de eksakte tallene her er avgj\u00f8rende - lav eksponering for mikroplast er kanskje ikke en grunn til bekymring, en h\u00f8yere kan utgj\u00f8re visse helserisikoer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:29px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mikroplast helserisiko: hva vet vi s\u00e5 langt&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Et bilde er fortsatt i ferd med \u00e5 fremst\u00e5 av hva all denne forurensningen betyr for hvordan det p\u00e5virker menneskers helse. Men de f\u00f8rste resultatene maler ikke akkurat et rosenr\u00f8dt bilde.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For det f\u00f8rste kan inhalerte polyester- og nylonmikroplast hemme lungens evne til \u00e5 reparere seg selv. I en nylig publisert nederlandsk forskning har forskere isolert lungeceller, satt dem i en petrisk\u00e5l hvor disse cellene har vokst til \"mini-lunger\" - et vev som replikerer mye av lungens kompleksitet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\"Det vi fant var foruroligende,\" sier doktor Barbro Melgert fra Universitetet i Groningen som jobbet med forskningen. \"Mini-lungene reagerte sterkt p\u00e5 nylonfibre - de sluttet \u00e5 danne seg. Dette kan ha store konsekvenser - hvis du puster inn mange av disse fibrene og lungene ikke har kapasitet til \u00e5 reparere seg selv, kan fibrene skade lungene dine,\" forklarte hun i en <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=51a0RPIK86g\">Plastic Soup Foundation-video p\u00e5 YouTube<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inhalasjon av mikroplast kan ogs\u00e5 f\u00f8re til pusteproblemer, betennelse, astma, bronkitt og autoimmune sykdommer. Melgerth og hennes team.&nbsp;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:29px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Kjemikaliecocktail&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Hovedsynderen her er ikke n\u00f8dvendigvis mikroplasten i seg selv, men snarere dens evne til \u00e5 absorbere og lekke skadelige kjemikalier, sier eksperter. Doktor Melgert og hennes team av forskere antyder det samme. Hun fremhever spesielt BPA eller bisfenol A - et industrielt kjemikalie, funnet i polykarbonatplaster. Eksponering for BPA er en bekymring da det kan p\u00e5virke hjernen og prostatakjertelen til fostre, spedbarn og barn. Noen unders\u00f8kelser antyder ogs\u00e5 en mulig sammenheng mellom BPA og \u00f8kt blodtrykk.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det er mye mer hvor BPA kommer fra. Mikroplast er ofte gjennomv\u00e5t i en cocktail av farlige kjemikalier som tilsettes under deres produksjon. Disse kjemikaliene brukes for \u00e5 gi fibre farge, motstand mot mugg og forlenge deres levetid. De er ogs\u00e5 forbundet med et bredt spekter av helserisiko: fra svekket hjerneutvikling til l\u00e6ringsvansker og \u00f8kt forekomst av kreft.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her er noen av kjemikaliene, som regelmessig brukes i produksjonen av mikroplast:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Myknere som gj\u00f8r materialer mykere og ofte laget av ftalater&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UV-stabilisatorer som beskytter plasten mot UV-str\u00e5ler&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sm\u00f8remidler som reduserer friksjon og slitasje&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flammehemmere&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fargestoffer&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Den potensielle faren er ikke bare hva vi legger til mikroplast, men ogs\u00e5 hva disse plastpartiklene plukker opp p\u00e5 reisen - virus og bakterier, for eksempel. Forskere har faktisk funnet mer enn et dusin arter av Vibrio-bakterier som holder seg til mikroplast, inkludert mikroplast.
